I think what this is saying is that on of the hardest things to do is to be yourself and stay real. Its easy to get influenced by the people we are around but what makes us stronger is when no matter what we don't change for anybody but ourselves. Maybe people wont like you for who you are but even if they don't you shouldn't change for them because all that ever matters in this world is that your happy with who you are.
