The Difference Between A Hero And A Coward

Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are stiffened.

  1. To my understanding the quote is saying that there is definitely a difference between a hero and a coward. A hero knows the difference between right and wrong, and also knows when something should be done about something and he/she is not afraid. a coward on the other hand is the complete opposite. a coward is scared most of the time and doesnt really speak up.

  3. Most people go off what they see so if one act of of bravery goes out many will be inspired to do the same. We need more of this in our community because if we dont stand up the bad influences will take over our hoods.

  4. To me this means that a hero knows the right steps or things to do and such. And a crowd does not, so a hero will lead you you right and not wrong and keep you on a good path to help you be sucessful in life.

  5. This quote is saying when you stand up for yourself and others then you are being brave. Courage is contagious because others will look up to you as a role model and say if he or she can be brave, why can't I? When you face yourself you are a hero to others and maybe yourself. If you don't stand up in what you believe in or respect then you are a coward because you hide in what you believe in.

  6. ..To me the quote is saying that few people have the guts to do something outside of the norm. Its saying that those who chose to do something that others are scared to do, the second they do it others "follow"..The difference between a hero and a coward is that a hero does things for other people and they step outside the box for things that are right..A coward to me is a simple-minded person who is scared to stand up for things/people/ or the rights of something and waits to follow the hero...

  9. To me this quote means of coarse what everyone else is saying i your a hero and stand up for what is right others will follow and do the same. But i also think the only true hero was the first one to do right because sometimes the followers just do it to win the spot light off of the real hero. You shouldn't want to do right just cause o so and so are doing it but because you want to do right from the bottom of your heart.

To me this quote means that being a hero is someone who stands up for what they believe in and is able to count on no matter what the case may be.Cowards are the opposite, someone who sits back and let everything go by without speaking there mind or doing what they know is right. So be a hero and have everyone look up to you.

  11. In my opinion I believe this quote means that if someone performs an act of bravery, and gets the courage to say or attract attention to what everyone else did not have the audacity to do/say it gives that person more of a leadership role. When bravery is seen in the mist of an audience, it has the power to start a movement. As opposed to a coward who likes to talk with others of a situation but never brings it to the prioritor's attention. When the courageous person stands for their belief the coward is behind them because the words that come from the brave one's mouth is not weighed on the coward's head.

  12. To me a hero is someone who is admired for his courage or ability. Any person admired for his qualities of achievments. Someon who is an ideal role model. Now in today world females are now prefered to as heroes. Even thought they are technically a heroin. And a coward is someone who shows weakness or timidity. They feel pleasure in others demise. A hero is not born everyday. And it takes a true hero to abside from peer presure in our modern world that most cowards follow. And work to achieve the better good for humanity.

  13. What this quote means to me can be a twofold message. On one hand it says to me that the individual that is not brave or bold enough to stand up is angered when someone else does. In other words they are afraid to stand for what is right or what they believe in especially if they have to stand alone. These type of people hate to see anyone else take a stand. However, there are some people who are very adamant about supporting those courageous people who step out of the strongholds of societal influences and take a stand. In those instances those individuals are held at high esteem especially when they stand alone.

  15. In my opinion, this quote is saying that many people need to see an act of courage to do what they are afraid of doing. When someone sees a person stand up for what they believe in, all of an sudden people "follow." Some people are leaders, and majority are follows. In every scenarial there will be an follower, but i bellieve that everyone should try to be leaders.

    ReplyDelete
  16. As a society, we all feed off of what the majority say and think is how you should behave. This assumption is so wrong. There shouldn't be a set way that everyone should behave; that's what makes us all unique. It takes a different type of person to take that extra leap and stay true to their own beliefs. Be brave, which means being a leader that also knows how to consider the opinions of others and still keep their own morals. When others see you being a brave person, they want to do the same.

  17. A coward is a person who lacks courage in facing danger. A hero is a person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for their brave deeds and noble qualities. So theirs a huge difference in a coward and a hero. Like say for example you get in a fight and a person picks up a gun thats a coward because he/she is lacking courage. When a person wants to fall off a building and a person encouage the person alot for them not to jump off the building thats a hero.

  27. I agree that courage is very contagious! When someone gets bold enough to stand up, it excities me. Whether it be for their rights or against something they think is wrong. When someone stands up or gets just the right amount of courage, people get confused. They dont know how to handle it, because they probably didn't think it would ever happen. When you decide to become a leader, then people will follow you. It's like how we need to stand up against the devil, because he's always trying to make us fall, or give up on what we've worked so hard to achieve. God has given us the Power to fight the devil off and this Power is in our mouths. We have the Power to speak against, rebuke, and cancel the works of the enemy. We must learn to use our Power, or the devil will always try to overtake us. With God by our sides, and when your're of His will, you'll obtain this Power. The the devil won't know what to do anymore, because it says he hates the Word of God. The devil will flee!!!

Others get upset when they are not the ones to do the right thing or if they were thinking about helping that person and then someone got in the way and did it before they could get a chance to get up. Sometimes they feel that if no one besides them helps that person then they will be ok but when someone intervenes then they get mad or up set with that person. Basically they feel that if they do not get to be the “hero” then no one can.

  42. The difference bewtween a coward and a hero is simple. A hero may be afraid of doing something, but they suck it up AND DO IT ANYWAY!A coward just doesn't step up to the plate at all. When someone is afraid or fearful doing somrthing it helps to see someone else do it first. That's sort of an inspiration or motivation. Seeing someone else do it first lets the person know that they are just as capable, if not more of doing whatever is also.

If one person decides that enough is enough and change needs to happen then that will not only shock people but it would also cause others to think. But when just one has the faith to stand up with boldness and courage, as David did, others will begin to follow his empowered authority as a shepherd. Spirit speaks to spirit and if my spirit is enthralled by God's Spirit then the void in mines is filled and I have the power to produce more courage among the inferior spirits. If my spirit was weaker, how could it be contagious to the superior spirits?! Therefore my spirit is scorching with flames of courage waiting to ablaze another spirit! Fire spreads and the vulnerable spirits are extremely flamable. If I take a stand, surely my flames will touch and ignite a torch of blazing courage in those around me. Courage doesn"t seperate a hero from a coward, but acting in spite of your fear is seperates a hero from a coward. I am not a hero, but a sidekick to the SuperHero who already saved the day!
